Vendicari Wildlife Oasis Oriented Nature Reserve

The Vendicari Oriented Nature Reserve Wildlife Oasis is important not only for the presence of vast wetlands that serve as a resting place in the migration of fauna, but also for the Tonnara, the Swabian Tower and archaeological areas dating back to the Greek-Byzantine era. North of the reserve is the Calamosche Beach nestled between two rocky promontories that, in addition to the fact that the sea is almost always calm, offer visitors unexpected beauty. Numerous ravines, cavities and grottos can be admired in the marvelous scenery. Driving along the SP.19 Pachino-Noto at km 10 you will find the main entrance to the Reserve, at km 15 you will find the sign “Calamosche Beach.”
