Dive into a sea of excitement! In an inflatable boat or on Gemini, the extraordinary underwater vision boat. Discover with us the magical Marzamemi and theIsland of Currents, the meeting of the two seas, submerged Roman columns, and many bays with clear, pristine waters.
The excursion to Currents Island takes about 4 hours and is carried out aboard a large inflatable boat equipped with every comfort.
There are two daily departures, at 9:00 a.m. a.m. and/or 03:00 p.m. from our Infopoint&Shop located at the entrance of the ZTL, where our staff will welcome you and take you aboard this fantastic experience.
The first stop south is Portopalo di Capo Passero, the southernmost municipality in Italy.
Here it will be possible to observe the last “tonnara di ritorno” (located on the Ionian coast, that of Portopalo precisely) next to the Tafuri Castle situated on a lava rock ridge overlooking a crystal clear sea.
Opposite, the eponymous Capo Passero Island will leave you speechless with its various caves and history.
Afterwards we head to the picturesque and wild Isola delle Correnti, so called precisely because the Sicilian Channel and the Ionian Sea intersect in that stretch of sea. The waters are crystal clear and limpid and you will not resist the temptation to dive in, we are very sure. Here you will be able to admire the remains of an underwater wreck located a few hundred meters from the coast and then sail to Punta delle formiche and the Grotta dei Sospiri … where you will literally be breathless at the scenery you will find before your eyes. Captain Antonino will accompany you on this fantastic EXPERIENCE that will completely overwhelm all your senses. During the excursion he will tell you about the history of the various archaeological sites you are going to visit during the navigation, he will introduce you to the typical flora and fauna of our beautiful sea, and he will dive with you to snorkel during the various scheduled stops.
Of course, everything is accompanied by a tasting of typical homemade products, prepared by the skilled hands of Ms. Maria…and we know how precious the hands of a Sicilian woman are.

The excursion aboard the Gemini lasts about 1 hour and 45 min. The Gemini is an underwater vision boat equipped with a transparent keel that therefore allows a view of the seabed.
The excursion has two daily departures at 10:00 a.m. a.m. and/or 04:00 p.m. from our Infopoint&Shop, where our staff will welcome you and escort you on board.
Starting from Marzamemi we head north (for about 2 miles), going to discover the underwater archaeological site of the Roman Columns dating back to the 3rd century A.D. lying on a seabed rich in typical Mediterranean flora and fauna. The columns are located offshore between Marzamemi and San Lorenzo. After visiting the Columns we head to the area called Bove Marino where it will be possible to dive into the beautiful crystal clear waters of the place. In between dips, cool soft drinks will be served on board. Obviously, during the navigation, everything will be explained and explored about the seabed, from flora and fauna to the archaeological site and tuna fishery of Marzamemi. A journey 90 cm below sea level that we are sure you will not forget. Accompanied by Captain Cesare, you will have a unique and magical experience with his tales as an expert sea wolf.
