Vendicari Nature Reserve
DESCRIPTION
The Vendicari Nature Reserve is located a few kilometers from Avola and is one of the area’s main natural attractions. The reserve is famous for its golden sandy beaches and unique flora and fauna. Birdwatchers can spot rare birds such as peregrine falcons and herring gulls. The reserve also offers a number of hiking trails to explore its natural beauty.
