The beaches of Marzamemi
The Ionian coast that Marzamemi overlooks is dotted with enchanting beaches. North of the village are the Beaches of Marianelli, Calamosche, Vendicari, San Lorenzo and Spinazza. Continuing south you can discover that of Marinella, Cavettone, Vulpiglia and Morghella. Arriving in Portopalo di Capo Passero we find Scalo Mandrie, the island of the same name and its beach. Next we encounterIsola delle Correnti, Europe’s southernmost point and watershed between the Ionian and Mediterranean seas with the relevant beach, and continuing west, you will discover Carratois, Punto Rio, Costa dell’Ambra (Tanneries), Granelli and Porto Ulisse.
