DESCRIPTION
The Fountain of Arethusa is another popular attraction in Syracuse.
This is a freshwater spring located in the center of the city, known for its scenic beauty and the presence of water lilies and other aquatic plants. The spring is also famous for the legend that it was created by the nymph Arethusa, who was transformed into a spring of water to escape the advances of the river god Alphaeus.
