Bluefish festival
In the last week of June, the Blue Fish Festival is held, conceived and implemented by the Pro Loco Marzamemi. The event aims to promote the fishing and consumption of blue fish, which is a mainstay of Marzamemi culture and the authenticity of the area by recalling history and culture that find their greatest apotheosis in fishing. This is done through various cultural activities, music, gastronomic competitions, tastings, exhibitions, performances and conferences. During the event, fishing gear of the past, customs witnessed through photos and reconstructions of ancient seafaring activities are displayed.
