Mother Church of St. Nicholas
DESCRIPTION
The Mother Church of St. Nicholas is one of Avola’s main attractions.
Built in the 1700s, the church is an example of Sicilian Baroque architecture and is famous for its facade decorated with statues and frescoes. Inside, a number of works of art can be admired, including a Madonna and Child of the late Gothic school.
